PSG Clinch UEFA Super Cup After Dramatic Win Over Tottenham

Paris St-Germain pulled off a thrilling late turnaround to capture the UEFA Super Cup, ruining Thomas Frank’s hopes of winning silverware in his debut as Tottenham manager.

Spurs looked set for victory with a 2-0 lead by the 84th minute, thanks to goals from Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero. But PSG clawed their way back Lee Kang-in fired in a long-range strike, and Goncalo Ramos headed home an equaliser deep into stoppage time.

With no extra time, the game went straight to penalties. Vitinha missed PSG’s opening attempt, but Tottenham couldn’t capitalise, as both van de Ven and Mathys Tel failed to convert. Nuno Mendes sealed the win for PSG with the decisive spot-kick.

The match marked Frank’s first in charge since taking over from Ange Postecoglou, who left the club shortly after their Europa League triumph in May.
