Liverpool plan record Isak deal

Liverpool are reportedly ready to launch a record-breaking offer for 25-year-old Swedish striker Alexander Isak from Newcastle United. At the same time, Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal are preparing a rival bid exceeding £130 million. Isak’s absence from Newcastle’s pre-season trip to Singapore has intensified rumours about his future. In response, Newcastle are eyeing Benjamin Šeško as a possible successor.

Leipzig sign Belgian winger

RB Leipzig have officially completed the signing of Belgian winger Johan Bakayoko from Eredivisie outfit PSV Eindhoven. Bakayoko, a PSV youth product, was linked with Premier League side Nottingham Forest, but has opted to further his career in the Bundesliga with RBL. He has inked a five-year deal with the club.
Leipzig have reportedly paid PSV a fee of 18 million euros for the Belgian, plus future addons/bonuses built into the deal which could take it close to the 22-million-euro mark. He will take the No.9 shirt vacated by Danish forward Yussuf Poulsen.

Bakayoko joined PSV in 2019 and steadily rose through the ranks at the Phillips Stadium. He made 47 and 46 appearances respectively over the last two seasons with the Eindhoven outfit, with 26 goals to his name in that period.

RB finished a disappointing 7th in the German top flight last season, a whopping 31 points behind champions Bayern, forcing them to part ways with manager Marco Rose. Ole Werner has been appointed as his replacement for the 25/26 campaign.

Leipzig have been quite active in the current transfer window- Bakayoko is their sixth signing after Arthur Vermeeren, Yan Diomande, Ezekchiel Banzuzi, Andrija Maksimovic and Max Finkgrafe.
